Connor Tumelty

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Plant Biology Graduate Group at UC Davis in the Meyers lab. Before coming to UC Davis, I received bachelor’s degrees in Genetics and Plant Biology and Classical Civilizations from UC Berkeley. My primary research interests are in plant reproductive development and the regulation of small RNA biogenesis. My work is funded in part by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program and the Department of Plant Sciences GSR award. Following my Ph.D., I intend to pursue a career in academia focused on research in plant development and teaching.
